Lok Sabha Polls 2019: 67.84% polling recorded as 11 states, 1 UT go to polls in Phase 2

For the second phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 95 parliamentary constituencies across 11 states and the union territory of Puducherry went to polls.

For the second phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 95 parliamentary constituencies across 11 states and the Union Territory of Puducherry went to polls on Wednesday, April 18, 2019. Thirty eight of the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu went to polls besides 18 Assembly constituencies in the state. Besides Tamil Nadu, polling held in 14 seats in Karnataka, 10 in Maharashtra, eight in Uttar Pradesh, five each in Assam, Bihar and Odisha, three each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, two in Jammu and Kashmir and one seat each in Manipur and Puducherry. Hema Malini, Raj Babbar, Farooq Abdullah, Ashok Chavan, Sushilkumar Shinde, Prakash Ambedkar, DV Sadananda Gowda, Tejaswi Surya, BK Hariprasad, HD Deve Gowda, Jitendra Singh and Kanimozhi are among the 1,600-odd contestants who fought n the second phase of crucial General Elections 2019 today.
