Voters in 91 constituencies are going to polls in the first phase of voting. Other than Lok Sabha seats, voting for Assembly polls will also be held in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and the first phase of Odisha. The polling is scheduled to begin at 7 am and continue till 6 pm. Voters will only be allowed to execute their names exists in the voters' list. If not, booth officials will not let you exercise your franchise. If the list has your name you can download your voter slip or ID and carry it along to the polling station.

- Search your name in Electoral Roll
- You will be directed to a new page.
- Enter your personal details
- The bottom of the page will show your name
- The next page will direct you to your voter slip
- Click on the print voter information option
Eight states – Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, Nagaland and Telangana, and two Union Territories – Lakshwadeep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands – will see voting for all parliamentary constituency.
Constituencies in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will also go to the polls in the first phase.

On the other hand, a buoyed Congress – boosted with the recent victories in three Hindi heartland states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan – is seeking to turn the tide under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
