Polling will be held today for the third and largest phase of Lok Sabha election in 116 seats, including all constituencies in Gujarat and Kerala, with BJP president Amit Shah, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and several Union ministers among prominent candidates in the fray. The voting time for Phase 3 elections is from 7 am to 6 pm. The Election Commission has made elaborate security arrangements. In the first two phases, election was held to 91 and 96 seats on April 11 and April 18 respectively. Election to 543 seats are being held in seven phases. The counting of votes will be on May 23.

- PAN card
- Aadhaar card
- Passport
- Driving license
- Pension document with photo
- Smart card issued by Resistance Gene Identifier under NPR
- Service identity card of government Health insurance card issued by Labour Ministry
- Passbook issues by post-office/bank
- MGNREGA card
- Photo voter slip issued by EC

On the other hand, a buoyed Congress – boosted with the recent victories in three Hindi heartland states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan – is seeking to turn the tide under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
