The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 is being held today. Voters in 71 constituencies spread over nine states across India will be using their franchise today. The states which are going to polls Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir (1/6). A total of 963 candidates from across parties in the nine states will be testing their luck. Also, the fourth and final phase of Odisha Assembly elections will be held today. The BJP-led NDA government seeks another term in power banking on the ‘Modi wave’ and the work done for development and social upliftment it claims to have done in the last five years. On the other hand, a buoyed Congress – boosted with the recent victories in three Hindi heartland states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan – is seeking to turn the tide under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase 4: If you are going to vote in the third phase and don’t have a voter ID card make sure you have any of the following documents
- PAN card
- Aadhaar card
- Passport
- Driving license
- Pension document with photo
- Smart card issued by Resistance Gene Identifier under NPR
- Service identity card of government Health insurance card issued by Labour Ministry
- Passbook issues by post-office/bank
- MGNREGA card
- Photo voter slip issued by EC
Several prominent candidates are in the fray in the fourth phase of elections – Priya Dutt, Milind Deora, Urmila Matondkar, Sanjay Nirupam, Poonam Mahajan, Parth Pawar, Gajanan Kirtikar, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Dushyant Singh, Manvendra Singh, Salman Khurshid, Ram Shankar Katheria, Nakul Nath, Baijayant Panda, Giriraj Singh, Moon Moon Sen, Sakshi Maharaj, Upendra Kushwaha, Kanhaiya Kumar, Babul Supriyo, Dimple Yadav, SS Ahluwalia and Sriprakash Jaiswal.
