NDA leading on 41 Lok Sabha seats in the state

Congress’s Ashok Chavan loses to Pratap Chikhlikar of BJP by more than 50,000 votes from Nanded Lok Sabha constituency. Shiv Sena’s MLA Pratap Chikhlikar recently switched over to the BJP at the last minute to take on the former CM from Nanded seat. 

Pritam Gopinathrao Munde of the BJP leading in Beed Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra.

BJP is now leading on 23 seats, while Shiv Sena on 18 and the NDA continue to dominate the state. In the meantime, NCP is leading on 4. Others are leading on 1 seat. 

AIMIM candidate Imtiyaz Jaleel is leading from Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat by over 35,000 votes, reports ANI.

Union Minister and BJP candidate Subhash Bhamre is leading in Dhule seat. He has secured 3.80 lakh votes. His rival Kunalbaba Rohidas Patil of the Congress meanwhile has won 2.66 lakh votes so far.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in leading in the Nagpur seat by 58,842 votes. In the meantime, he tweeted, "BJP has made history under the successful leadership of Amit Shah."

BJP and its ally Shiv Sena are leading in all the six parliamentary seats in Mumbai.

Union minister and BJP candidate Hansraj Gangaram Ahir is trailing by 1,800 votes in Chandrapur seat.

Sena's Mumbai North West candidate, Gajanan Kirtikar is leading against Congress' Sanjay Nirupam by 53,323 votes. In 2014, Kirtikar had won the seat by a margin of 1,83,028 votes.

BJP's Mumbai South candidate Arvind Sawant is leading against Congress' Milind Deora by 47,259 votes. Sawant had won the Mumbai South seat in 2014 by a margin of 1,28,564 votes.

AIMIM candidate Imtiaz Jaleel Syed leading from Aurangabad parliamentary constituency.

Former Home Minister and Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde trailing from Solapur, while NCP's Supriya Sule leading from Baramati.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar's nephew Parth Ajit Pawar is trailing by more than 1.35 lakh votes in Maval Lok Sabaha seat. He is trailing behind Shiv Sena's Shiran Appa Chandu Barne.

Sanjay Nirupam is trailing from Mumbai North Central by 42,000 votes.

Actor-turned-politician and Congress candidate from Mumbai North Urmila Matondkar is trailing by over 90,000 votes. She is pitted against BJP's Gopal Shetty

BJP-Sena takes massive lead of 41 seats in early trends

BJP is now leading on 22 seats, while Shiv Sena on 19. In the meantime, Congress is leading on 1, while NCP on 5. Others are leading on 1 seat.

In Shirur, NCP candidate Amol Kolhe is leading by 2,890 votes over Shiv Sena's sitting MP Shivaji Adhalrao Patil.

Parth Pawar, the grand-nephew of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, is leading from Maval Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. Parth, son of former state deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, is leading by 1,173 votes over Shiv Sena's sitting MP Shrirang Barne.

NCP leader Sameer Bhujbal is leading from Nashik parliamentary seat.

Counting agents in Nagpur parliamentary constituency raised objections about the postal ballots counting. They created ruckus and demanded to stop counting. 

Shiv Sena is leading from Thane. Shiv Sena leader Rajan Vichare has been pitted against NCP leader Anand Paranjape and BSP's Rajeshchanna Baijnath Jaiswar.

Strict security arrangements have been put in place in other parts of Maharashtra for the counting day, a police official said. As many as 1,500 police officers and personnel are guarding the counting centers in Mumbai along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Reserve Police Force, Quick Response Teams (QRT) and Riot Control Police

BJP takes massive lead in Maharashtra with 7 seats, while Congress is lagging behind with only 1 seat. 

In first round, the polling officers will count around 16 lakh postal ballots.

The counting of votes for 48 seats begin. 

Mumbai city collector Shivaji Jondhale  said, "EVMs are completely safe and there is no need to worry about. Several layers of security tiers are made to protect the EVMs." 

The Election Commission (EC) will display poll results on digital boards in various parts of the state. 

7:00 am: Preparations for counting of votes are underway

6:50 am: In 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, the BJP won 23 seats in the state while its alliance partner, the Shiv Sena, got 18. The Congress's tally went down from 17 (in 2009) to just two seats. 

6:40 am: The voting percentage in Maharashtra was recorded to be around 59 per cent in all four phases in the Lok Sabha Election 2019. 

6:30 am: There are 48 seats in the state with prime parties being BJP, Shiv Sena, Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party. 

6:15 am: Counting of votes to begin at 8 am.
