New Delhi:

Soon after News Nation reported about Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav's name being wrongly spelled on the party's official website, the error was rectified on Wednesday.

The party's website, in its candidate list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, had wrongly spelled Mulayam Singh Yadav's name as "Shree Malayam Singh Yadav".

Soon after we reported the blooper error, it was fixed. Here's a look:

On March 8, the party released its first list of nine candidates for the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, fielding party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav from its stronghold Mainpuri. In the 2014 general election, the SP patriarch had contested from Azamgarh and Mainpuri and won both.

This time, his son and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will be contesting from the Azamgarh Seat.

Recently, Mulayam had showered praises for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Parliament, saying he wanted to see the latter as the PM again. The remarks left Akhilesh-led Samajwadi Party red-faced who recently announced its alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party.

Mulayam, whose fallout with his son, came out in public in 2017 after the latter decided to join hands with the Congress for the UP Assembly elections, had expressed his discontent on alliance with the BSP for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
