Congress president Rahul Gandhi was caught off guard on Thursday when a party worker planted a kiss on his cheek during a rally in Valsad district of Gujarat. A video of the incident has been shared by ANI. The video shows some women on stage to greet the Congress president when one of them pulls him and planted a kiss on his cheek. Gandhi was in Valsad to kick off his party's Lok Sabha poll campaign in Gujarat by addressing a ‘Jan Aakrosh’ rally.

Earlier, a woman from Prayagraj (Allahabad) had claimed that Gandhi had promised to marry her in her dreams.
The woman claimed that she had met Gandhi once in 2014 and a few more times later and has been obsessed by him since then. Calling the Congress president a good man, the woman said she was convinced that he will marry her.Â
" He has spoken to Dalits, had meals with Dalits, lived with them. I am an OBC and supported Congress for a long time. So why wouldn't he marry me?" she said.
Meanwhile, this is Gandhi's first visit to Gujarat after the 2017 Assembly polls in which he campaigned vigorously, travelling across the length and breadth of the state. While the BJP returned to power in the state in 2017 by winning 99 seats in the 182-member Assembly, the Congress managed to increase its tally from 60 to 77.
To boost its cadre, the Congress is also likely to organise its working committee meet in Ahmedabad before the Lok Sabha elections, a party source said. The Congress had drawn a blank in the state in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections when the BJP won all 26 seats.
The opposition party had won 11 seats in the state in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls.
