New Delhi:

In a rather embarrassing situation for Congress president Rahul Gandhi, senior party leader PJ Kurien on Tuesday while facilitating as the former's translator at Pathanamthitta rally in Kerala, faced serious issues in picking his address correctly, which led the Gandhi scion to repeat himself to Kurien again and again. Though Kurien blamed technical glitches and echo for his inability, Gandhi looked a little unhappy over the issue and had reportedly asked for his replacement.

In no time, the video of the duo struggling to address the massive crowd in Kerala went viral on social networking sites with different social media pages and websites adding a fun and comic fervour to it.

Twitterati also went crazy over the video and started sharing it rapidly along with hilarious captions and some ludicrous remarks.

Pathanamthitta, where all these messes took place this morning, is a keenly watched parliamentary constituency in the backdrop of Sabarimala Temple row last year.

From Rafale scam to the Congress' much-talked about Nyay scheme, every time the Congress chief spoke about some crucial poll issues, Kurien failed to pick his address and ended up making a huge blunder with the amount of Nyay scheme. Kurien said every month Congress will put "Rs 72,000 crore" into 5 crore bank accounts across India.

Gandhi, who lost his patience during the time, ended his speech, saying he will start learning Malayalam.

The Gandhi scion, who arrived in Kerala last night on a two day visit, is scheduled to address rallies in several other places across the state. Gandhi, who is contesting from Wayanad district besides the Congress stronghold of Amethi, will be addressing meetings in his constituency on Wednesday.

The Congress is contesting on 16 out of the 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala. The party has left four seats for its allies - two for Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and one each for Kerala Congress (Mani) and Socialist Party (RSP).
