News Nation has come up with its exit poll on the Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan. While the BJP is seeking to sweep all 25 seats in the states like it did in 2014, a revived Congress, which snatched the state from BJP’s hand in last year’s assembly polls, is hoping to perform better in the general elections too.
In the 2018 Assembly polls, Rajasthan, which has a history of voting the BJP and the Congress to power alternatively, decided in favour of the Grand Old Party.
Here are the highlights of Rajasthan Exit Poll 2019:
06:44 PM: The BJP lost the Assembly elections recently and Vasundhara Raje had to resign as the chief minister.
06:45 PM: In 2018 Assembly polls, the Congress ousted the BJP and won 99 seats in the 200-member strong Assembly with a vote share of 39.30 per cent.
06:58 PM: BJP is expected to win 22 of the 25 seats in Rajasthan. In the 2014 electins, it had won all 25 seats.
07:13 PM: Congress is excpected to win only three seats, according to the News Nation Exit Poll.
