Haryanavi stage performer Sapna Chaudhary, film producer Boney Kapoor, wrestler The Great Khali were among the celebrities from the entertainment industry who took part at a get together in the national capital Delhi for support to the BJP. The get together was organised by the BJP to seek their support in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
Interestingly, Sapna Chaudhary, after reports of her joining the Congress party was seen campaigning for Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari. She also took part in a roadshow of Tiwari and accompanied him when he filed his nomination from the North East Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
Boney Kapoor is a renowned Bollywood producer and husband of late Sri Devi, who died under controversial circumstances inside the bathroom of a luxury hotel in Dubai while Kapoor was waiting for her in the room. He is said to have a cordial relationship with several BJP leaders.

Bollywood actor Manoj Joshi and actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada were also present during the meet. While Jaya Prada is the BJP candidate against Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur, Manoj Joshi acted in Shia Waqf Board chief Waseem Rizvi’s film Ram Ki Janmabhoomi.
The elections for the 17th Lok Sabha are currently underway across the country. The elections which started on April 11 are scheduled to be held in seven phases till May 19 and the results will be announced on May 23. In the elections, while the BJP is seeking another term, the Opposition parties led by the Congress are making all out efforts to dethrone Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
