Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday said he is quitting as the chief of party's student wing.
Yadav took to Twitter to confirm the development, while saying that innocent are those people who consider him innocent.
"I am resigning as chef of RJD’s student wing. Those who think I am naive are mistaken. I have all the information who floats at what level," said Tej Pratap in a tweet in Hindi.
While Tej Pratap abstained from naming anyone in the tweet, the development once again hints at his reported differences with brother Tejashwi Yadav.
It is believed that the anointment of younger son Tejashwi as the heir apparent had not gone down well with his elder brother, Tej Pratap and eldest sister, Misa.
The differences between the two brothers only increased in recent months in the absence of father Lalu Yadav, who is facing conviction and sentencing in the multiple cases of fodder scam.
Both brothers started distancing themselves from political decisions taken by each other and on certain occasions, the elder one expressed his frustration in public, complaining how he was not being involved in party decisions and not getting the support of party workers and leaders in his programme.
Even Misa, in october last year, had admitted that that relations between her two brothers had soured of late while there were some forces in the family that were trying to “stab her in the back”
