BJP leader and Women & Child Welfare Minister of Maharashtra Pankaja Munde has sparked a fresh controversy with her remarks against Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Munde said that a bomb should be tied to Gandhi’s body and sent to another country for asking proof of Indian Air Force’s surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC).
“We did surgical strike after cowardly attack on our soldiers. Some people ask what was surgical strike and what's the evidence? I say we should've attached a bomb to Rahul Gandhi and should have sent him to another country. Then they would have understood,†Munde was quoted as saying by ANI.

She made this controversial statement while addressing a rally at Jalna parliamentary constituency. Munde asserted that nowadays anyone questions surgical strike to grab headlines.
According to reports, she made this remarks in presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP state unit chief Danve Raosaheb Dadarao. Dadarao is seeking re-election from the Jalna parliamentary seat.
Earlier Pankaja, daughter of late Gopinath Munde, had sparked controversy with her remarks on 'changing the constitution'.
“This is not a Zilla Parishad election but a Lok Sabha election. Mahamanav Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar wrote the Constitution. We have to now change the Constitution, enact new laws and make some changes to the Constitution. For this we have to send a capable person to the Lok Sabha,†Pankaja had said during an election rally in Ambejogai.
