Avatar: Fire and Ash, a much-awaited global event film of the year, unveiled its Devanagari logo on the banks of the Ganga in Varanasi, marking a moment that brought together the film’s themes with the cultural setting of the city.
The event began with a short tribute to Varanasi, followed by a performance choreographed by Ceaser and inspired by the film’s elements of fire and ash. The programme led to the reveal of the first Devanagari logo created for the Avatar franchise in India. The music for the evening was composed by the Justin-Uday Duo.
This new identity pays homage to India’s cultural heritage while reflecting the film’s core themes of fire, light, and transformation, made even more meaningful by its unveiling in a city synonymous with these elements.
The new logo design draws from aspects of Indian cultural heritage and reflects the film’s focus on fire, light, and transformation, making its introduction in Varanasi a fitting choice.
Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to release in India on 19 December. It will be available in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Ticket bookings have begun.
