On Monday’s episode of Big Boss 12, former cricketer S Sreesanth was seen amid the most unexpected gush of emotions. Sharing an anecdote with fellow contestant, Anup Jalota, Sreesanth was seen breaking down while sharing his anecdote.
"I want to share one incident related to Sachin Tendulkar," Sreesanth said.
The cricketer said, "1-2 years after our 2011 World Cup triumph, during an interview, the interviewer asked about everyone who deserved the credit of 2011 victory, while taking names of all the players’ but not mine. When the interview was about to end, Sachin Tendulkar prompted my name saying Sreesanth also played a major role. I cried a lot during that time,†said the Kerala-born former cricketer.Â
Sreesanth, who had a high-volt career going, landed in the most muddled situation when the IPL spot-fixing scandal hit him hard along with Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan and a lifetime ban on the players was imposed by the BCCI. Once considered one of the finest pace bowlers in the Indian cricket team, Sreesanth along with 36 others were accused in the spot-fixing case. All of the individuals were let off by a Patiala House Court judgment in July 2015. Despite this, BCCI refused to lift the ban on him that left him scarred deeply. Watch the video here:Â
