Bigg Boss 13 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee is rumoured to be quitting the show due to her back injury. The actor is suffering from severe back pain and has been reportedly told not to part in any of the tasks. However, the latest reports suggest that the actress has been sent out of the house for some days owing to health issues. She has not been eliminated and will be back in the house as soon as she gets well. Host Salman Khan assured the actor that she would be back whenever she feels better.
A source shared with indianexpress.com, ''Viewers have already seen Devoleena Bhattacharjee in immense pain. The actor has not even been able to participate in any task or activity. The doctors checking on her advised her to take proper bed rest and so she has been kept under medical supervision. But the makers and host Salman Khan assured the actor that she would be back whenever she feels better.''
Also, to add up some spice to the show, the makers have reportedly approached Madhurima Tuli, ex girlfriend of Vishal Aditya Singh. ''While Madhurima’s inclusion would add a new dimension to Vishal’s game, the makers have also decided to get evicted contestants Arhaan Khan and Shefali Bagga back on the show. Arhaan and Rashami Desai’s love story was just about to bloom when he got eliminated and so the makers are hoping the audience will get to see some romance between the two. As for Shefali Bagga, the news anchor’s fierce attitude had always given enough fodder to the season,'' the source added.
Meanwhile, Devoleena's mother Anima Bhattacharjee also reacted to the reports of her daughter quitting the show. Speaking to Times of India, Anima said, ''My daughter is a fighter. She is not someone who would give up so easily. These are just rumours and there is no truth to it. In fact, if you see the latest promo, despite being so unwell, my daughter has participated in the task. She is giving her best and is ready to entertain the viewers. The channel and the production house has not informed me anything about her exit."
Talking about her health conditions, Devoleena's mother said, "She has been giving her 100 percent even though she is unwell. She has pain in her back since a long time now, but she has never shown it to the audience. She is playing quite well and I am happy with her performance on the show. I just hope she recovers soon and want to request all her fans to support her."
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 13 has been extended by another five weeks. It was scheduled to end in January but is now said to continue till February. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the channel and Bigg Boss producers Endemol are paying Salman Khan an extra Rs 2 crore per episode – to continue as host post the original schedule.
