Bigg Boss 13 finalist Mahira Sharma found herself in troubled water when she shared an insta story flaunting a Dadasaheb Phalke trophy of the ‘Most Fashionable Bigg Boss Contestant’. Soon the award committee pointed out the no such recognition was given to the Punjabi star to which she posted a full-fledged written clarification that her manager was indeed was invited and handed over the award by a person who claimed to have been associated with Dadasaheb Awards past two years and that she has all the required proofs and chats to prove her point. Dadasaheb Phalke Award board, however, is unconvinced with her statement and has asked an apology for ‘allegedly forging the award.
The award committee has pointed out how her award was a fake version of the real award and slammed her for making a third party responsible for the mishap and wrote, "Ms. Mahira, We hereby present the required facts on the matter. We further await your apology as we don't want to drag this further and close it on a good note!'
The post also notes that Mr. Premal Mehta, whom Mahira and her team finds is responsible has also released a statement from his end which according to DPIFF is ‘even more controversial and shocking’. “Our legal team has followed through the entire incident very closely and shared their insight on the statements presented by both the parties.” Said the note.
The note has called Mr. Primal Mehta an external PR who is neither associated directly with DPIFF team and is bound by any contract with them and criticised Mahira for accepting a forged certificate of appreciation through an ‘unofficial/unverified source’. DIPFF also reminded in the note that Mr. Mehta will ‘bear required actions.’
Mahira's response to the same, meanwhile, is awaited.
