After Anurag Kashyap’s 2018 love story Manmarziyaan where we saw Tapsee Pannu as the feisty Rumi, the filmmaker is all eyes for a supernatural thriller with Pannu. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted today, “IT’S OFFICIAL... Taapsee Pannu and director Anurag Kashyap reunite [after #Manmarziyaan or a supernatural thriller... Not titled yet... Produced by Sunir Kheterpal [who just produced #Badla]... Will be filmed in a start-to-finish schedule in Nov-Dec 2019... Summer 2020 release.” With the direction of Manmarziyaan’s Anurag Kashyap, the production by Sunir Kheterpal from the critically acclaimed movie Badla and the powerful onscreen performances by Taapsee Pannu, the untitled supernatural movie is in all likelihood, stepping out with the right foot.
A report in Mumbai Mirror states that the film will be a supernatural thriller, a genre which is less explored in Indian cinema.
"Taapsee keeps me on my toes and is on a mission to make me take on challenges. I have never done anything like this before, so I am looking forward to it," Anurag was quoted as saying by Mirror. Taapsee says that she knew she would get to work with the filmmaker again but didn't expect it to happen so soon. "But I didn't know it would happen so soon. We had been discussing stories and this one received a resounding 'yes' from everyone. I am looking forward to it as I have not explored the supernatural genre in Hindi films yet," the report quoted Taapsee.
Taapsee’s recent film, Badla, meanwhile is soaring well at the box office even beating her previous Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie Pink on the third day of its opening.
