Katrina Kaif, who has a reputation for setting the dance floor on fire every time she puts on her dancing shoes, is going to make your heart skip a beat or two with her performance in Suraiyya. Thugs Of Hindostan’s new dance number featuring Katrina Kaif's sizzling dance steps is already going crazy viral.
Katrina Kaif just shared a behind-the-scenes video from the rehearsal sessions for Suraiyya. Under Prabhu Deva’s Hawkeyes, Katrina skillfully grooves to the signature step - she pulls off the waist-twister steps with effortless ease and the BTS video is a testament to the rigorous rehearsals she went through. This is the first time the 35-year-old actress has collaborated with Prabhudheva.Â
The behind-the-scenes video also gave a sneak peek of Kaif and Khan shaking a leg.
Katrina shared a video on her Instagram account, where she can be seen rehearsing for the dance with Aamir. She captioned the video, "When I first saw the choreo for suraiyya, I was like is it jazz ,is it ballet, is it folk ,,, but that's dancing with prabhudeva ... u cannot define his style it's so unique ,he gives the song such a unique personality with his choreography. He spent a lot of time with me in rehearsals helping me figure the style , I loved it all (apart from a few moments of tears of frustration ??)but in the end it was the hook step which we had so much fun with. (sic)."
With a hook line that goes “Suraiyya jaan legi kya,†named after Katrina’s character in the film, the song is about praises of the dancer’s beauty and power over mortal men.Â
The song gives a glimpse of swingy dance moves winning over a host of British officers and Aamir Khan’s character Firgani Mallah. Katrina is sharing the screen space with Aamir for the second time after Dhoom 3.Â
Suraiyya has been composed by Ajay-Atul while Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics. Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani have sung the song. The film has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is set to release on November 8.
