A launching pad for Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, the romantic drama LoveYatri released on Friday. Being termed as a lavish cinematic celebration of Gujarati culture, LoveYatri, previously named ‘Loveratri’, is based on the nine-day 'Navratri' festival that practically consumes the state of Gujarat.
The movie also stars debutante Warina Hussain, who plays an NRI Gujarati Michelle aka Manisha who is in India to understand the hype around ‘Navratris’. Warina managed to charm everyone with her innocent eyes and cuteness in the film. Abhiraj Minawala, who has served as assistant director in movies like Sultan and Fan, is debuting as a director with Loveyatri.
In the backdrop of festive fever building up, Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer LoveYatri garnered 2.8 Cr. on Day 1 in Gujarat and Single screens across the nation for a debutant film.
Despite upbeat songs to picturesque locations to a strong star support with superstar Salman Khan's banner, the movie still is a sinking ship that failed to carry the weight of expectations of the film critics. Still, the movie is soaring high on its box office collection of 2.8 crores on its opening day.
The music of the film has created quite a rage among the masses in the run-up to the upcoming Navratri festival. The soundtracks are in the Top 7 list of iTunes with Chogada at number one, Akh Lad Jaave at number four, Dholida at number six and Tera Hua at number seven.
The song Chogada has emerged to be the Garba anthem of the year, the makers claim.
