The 52-year-old actor, who will be sharing screen space with Irrfan for the first time, said it was one of the things on his wish list.
Sharing a peek from his role in the film, Tripathi said, "My role is a cameo. It's my love and respect for Irrfan and my friendship with Dinu (Vijan) that made me say yes for it. I always wanted to work with Irrfan and when Dinu offered this role I immediately agreed to do this role even if it's just a cameo, to begin with".

"As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support. It soothed me in my process of healing. So, I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart," he added.
Helmed by Homi Adjania, Angrezi Medium also features Radhika Madan and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. Earlier one of the pictures shared by Radhika from the sets of the film with Kareena Kapoor's name in the hashtags instigated reports of the 'Jab We Met' actress' involvement in the project.
