Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas depart from Jodhpur

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are now officially man and wife.  This marriage has been a beautiful amalgamation of two cultures, two religions, and moreover two countries. With a perfect blend of love and loads of excitement, Priyanka and Nick tied the knot on Saturday in a Christian ceremony and later got hitched in a Hindu ceremony on Sunday. After throwing an extravagant fun-loaded celebratory event, the newlyweds have departed from Jodhpur.

A video shared by news agency ANI, the newlyweds can be spotted leaving from Jodhpur. The couple ties the knot in two-day event at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1 and 2.

Nick’s father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr, on Saturday officiated the Christian ceremony, where the much-in-love couple exchanged their wedding bands, designed by the popular jeweller Chopard.  Dressed in a Ralph Lauren couture, the 36-year-old looked the perfect bride in the custom-made wedding gown. Along with Priyanka Chopra, the Jonas and the Chopras also donned Ralph Lauren designs.

For the Hindu wedding and other pre-wedding ceremonies, Priyanka and Nick wore Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s embellishment.

Soon after the Christian wedding was made official, pictures from Priyanka’s Mehndi ceremony started doing rounds and grabbed all hearts. While Priyanka’s brothers carried her 'dulha' on their shoulders, the actor looked every bit of beauty in a fabulously folksy, multi-hued organdy ensemble by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Dancing and cheering their way, the 'baaratis' seem to enjoy the Indian festivities with sheer jubilance. Nick looked his handsome self in an aqua bakhiya Indian traditional attire, also by the same designer.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part of the pre wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. On Sunday, Priyanka took to her Instagram to share some gleeful moments from the couple’s 'sangeet' ceremony. The happiness of the 'baraatis' is so evident from the pictures, but the bride stole the charm with her above-the-world glow.

It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. Priyanka and Nick looked every pinch of glamour in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s absolute stunning attire. While Priyanka stole the limelight with her fully hand embroidered sequins saaree in gold and silver, Nick looked princely in an open midnight blue sherwani with silk thread detailing.
