Rajat Kapoor releases apology on Twitter after being accused of harassing two anonymous women
The #MeToo movement has taken over Bollywood and many celebrated names are popping up in relation to harassment and sexual misconduct. The rage began with Nana Patekar who was allegedly named by Tanushree Dutta for sexual harassment. After Nana, Vicky Bahl, Chetan Bhagat, and Kailash Kher, now Rajat Kapoor is the latest addition to the list who has been accused of harassing women he has previously worked with.
A journalist Sandhya Menon released screenshots of two separate accounts on her twitter handle, in which both the women accuse the Indian filmmaker and actor, Rajat Kapoor of harassment.
In the first conversation, the person has accused Rajat of misbehaving with her in an interview. He had asked her in an inappropriate manner if she was as "sexy" as she "sounded".
In the second conversation, an assistant director has accused Rajat of asking her to shoot in an empty room. She also revealed that his friend, Saurabh Shukla was also complicit and that they were 'probably preying on young women together'.

Soon after these screenshots surfaced on the internet, Rajat posted an apology on Twitter.
I am sorry from the bottom of my heart- and sad that I was the cause of this hurt
to another human being.
If there is one thing more important to me than even my work,
it is to be a good human being.
And I have tried to be that person.
And now, I will try harder.
