New Delhi:

Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming movie 'Dragon', which was being directed by his filmmaker friend Ayan Mukherji, has been postponed for shooting.

According to the media reports, RK was supposed to begin the shooting early this year along with Alia Bhatt, but it has been delayed owing to some VFX and budget issues.

“It’s a very expensive film and will require a lot of high-octane action and VFX for which the budget has shot up," a source reportedly told a leading daily.

Well, this hasn't been a good news for 'Dragon' makers, as now Ranbir Kapoor is occupied with his next project, which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt.

"Ranbir was to start shooting for 'Dragon' from January this year, but as the film got postponed, he gave his dates away to the Sanjay Dutt biopic," the source added.

The 'Barfi' actor is putting in special efforts for Dutt's biopic and has put on weight along with staying in jail for a week to get first-hand experience for the movie.

Interestingly, this is not the first time RK's movie has suffered delaying issue.

Earlier, his 'Jagga Jasoos' too got much delayed. The movie which was supposed to release in early 2016, will not hit the screens on April 7.

Helmed by Anurag Basu, 'Jagga Jasoos' also stars Katrina Kaif in the lead.
