Ranveer Singh, after marrying the Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, now has a different aim in mind. From the extravagant wedding of the two much-in-love couple in Italy’s Lake Como to the phenomenal star-struck wedding reception in Mumbai, the newlyweds have definitely set some marriage goals for generations to come. Ranveer was, for a long time, labelled as ‘boyfriend of the millennium’, which the actor is now working to change it into ‘husband of the millennium’.

At the trailer launch of Ranveer’s upcoming Bollywood masala flick Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty, the actor told the reporters, “I have achieved ‘boyfriend of the millennium’ now I’m working towards being husband of the millennium.”
The Band Baaja Baarat actor revealed that he met Deepika in 2012, and within six months, he was certain that ‘she was the one’.
When asked whether Deepika had seen the trailer, the energy ball actor replied, “Rohit sir showed her some rushes on my birthday. She doesn’t say much. She never speaks much. When the rushes ended, she looked at me and said, ‘Bada hot lag raha hai.’”
During the trailer launch, the film’s producer Karan Johar went on to mock the newlywed that Ranveer is probably the only actor who has been getting married for a month, hinting at the actor’s several reception parties.
Karan stated, “It doesn’t get madder than Ranveer Singh. The thing he says, the thing he wears and the way he gets married. He has been getting married for a month. This is one record no individual can break.”
Ranveer’s wedding to Deepika has been the most discussed and celebrated events lately creating immense buzz across quarters.

The couple has been grabbing all hearts since they tied the sacred knot in November and the pictures from their wedding and receptions have made the fans drool over the fantasised dreamy celebrations. Post the Bengaluru reception on November 21 and another one in Mumbai on November 28, Ranveer and Deepika, hosted a star-studded reception Saturday. Dressed their best, the B-town celebs walked into the function and hiked the glamour level exponentially. Invitees included Bollywood A-listers starting from Shah Rukh Khan who arrived solo, Kareena Kapoor with husband Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and veteran actresses Rekha and Hema Malini among others. Many debutantes and fresh faces of Bollywood were also present, including Ishaan Khattar, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, among the others. Along with the members of the Bollywood fraternity, the guest list also included the Ambanis, Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and others.
On the work front, Ranveer is now busy with the promotions of his upcoming flick Simmba. Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Reliance Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Pictures, Simmba features Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan in lead roles and Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on December 28.
