Rishi Kapoor, who is underway his medical treatment in the US, met Hollywood actor Robert De Niro while walking down the streets with his darling son Ranbir Kapoor. The ‘Kapoor and Son’ seemed to be strolling the right street at the right time. Star father Kapoor described it as a ‘wow moment’ and exclaimed that the Hollywood star is a combination of ‘simplicity and superstardom’, which made him realise that he has been ‘a brat’.

Rishi Kapoor added that Robert had earlier met Ranbir with Anupam Kher and even offered them to come over his place for a drink. The 63-year-old actor was completely awe-struck by his simplicity that he could not hold back his excitement on meeting the ‘The Intern’ star. Robert and Anupam co-starred in Silver Linings Playbook and they often dine together when the latter is in the US. They share such a special bond that Robert’s wife also hosted a surprise birthday party for Anupam Kher earlier this year.
Rishi took to his twitter handle to share their special star struck moment and wrote, “Wow moment. Impromptu meeting with Robert De Niro on 65th and 3rd. He knew Ranbir because he had met him and Anupam (Anupam Kher) and said come over with Kher for a drink! Simplicity and super stardom. I realised I have been such a brat. Cannot get over his demeanour."

Earlier this month, there were reports that Rishi was suffering from a serious illness following his absence from the funeral of his mother, Krishna Raj Kapoor, who passed away on October 1. His brother, Randhir, rubbished the rumours of Rishi battling cancer and said, “He is at the moment fine. As he is in great pain, he will be undergoing test. He did discuss it with us regarding his health,” Randhir had told PTI.
Ranbir, on the work front, is busy with the shoot of Brahmastra where he will be sharing the silver screen with his alleged sweetheart Alia Bhatt. Ayan Mukherji directorial fantasy drama will also star Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in a significant role. The film is slated to release in August 2019.
