In a cryptic tweet on Saturday, Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor said he was taking a ‘short leave from work’ to go to the US for medical treatment because of the ‘wear and tear’ caused due to working in Bollywood for over four decades.
Before his 'well wishers' could speculate or jump onto some conclusions, he asked them not to unnecessarily speculate.Â
His tweet read, "Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus†of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!"

Even after his humble advice to well-wishers to not to worry, his tweet got his fans and Bollywood colleagues concerned about his health decline. After he informed about his medical trip to the US, various celebrities including Kapil Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Kubra Sait, Shreyas Talpade and Rahul Dev tweeted him best.
