Just as the buzz surrounding Arth was beginning to quieten, actor Shah Rukh Khan's wife and a talented interior decorator, Gauri Khan, has yet another milestone moment to share with the world. Noted interior designer and co-owner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Gauri Khan has made it to the list of Fortune India’s 50 Most Powerful Women in business this year.
The interior designer, who has decorated many celebrity homes including a nursery for Karan Johar’s twins Roohi and Yash Johar and her popular Bandra restaurant Arth that opened its doors to the public this June, has another feather added to her hat. Gauri Khan is thrilled to be a part of this prestigious list.
Khan took to Instagram and posted, “Thank you @fortune.india... in the top 50 Most Powerful Women in business in India.â€
On 8th October, Gauri Khan rung in her birthday with her actor-husband and youngest son AbRam. Gauri, who blew out 48 candles on her birthday cake on October 8, shared adorable photo with SRK and Abram, captioning the picture, “With half of my better halves on my birthday...the other halves in school!â€
This list features some really powerful women including, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Anushka Sharma, who have achieved great heights in their respective fields, Gauri has been recognized as an owner of her interior designer label 'Gauri Khan Designs'.
Gauri Khan Designs is a multi-brand store and has international brands such as Roberto Cavalli and Ralph Lauren, who have tied up with the store to bring their products [home accent] to India. The store also has Gauri Khan’s signature designs as well, to cater to clients and their needs, which vary from modern to eclectic to classic.
Gauri has recently designed Ranbir Kapoor's new apartment and redecorated Karan Johar's roof top other than several other celeb homes.
