Bollywood has been going through an era of biopics these days and movies on sportspersons are quite a trend now. While showbiz has several sports biopics like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom, and Sachin: A Billion Dreams, the next movie to join the bandwagon is a biopic on Saina Nehwal.
Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the badminton star in the biopic and the diva has even begun training for the movie as well.
Though the 'Aashiqui 2' actress is at present very much into the last minute promotion of her upcoming venture 'Haseena Parkar', amidst her tough schedule she has been seen spending some gala time with badminton champion Saina Nehwal and her family.
The diva, who recently met Saina and family took to photo-blogging site Instagram to share few moments from their meeting.
An excited Shraddha wrote, "Today at @nehwalsaina ‘s home. Being pampered by aunty. She made delicious poori, choley, kheer, halwa & a fruit/milk juice"
"Uncle proudly showed me her medals and wins. Here I’m holding her Olympic medal," Shraddha added sharing a picture of herself and Saina's father.
"Wow. Look at that. The Olympic bronze! What an achievement @nehwalsainaIn awe of you & your journey," the actress posted further.

On the other hand, Saina Nehwal, who too has been sharing the updates of her biopic, shared an adorable video where Shraddha is seen having some fun with saina's pet dog Chopsy.
While Shraddha is attending badminton classes quite regularly for the biopic, she has also been training with Saina Nehwal herself for the film. Along with Nehwal, Pullela Gopichand has also been seen giving Shraddha special training sessions for the flick.
There are reports that the biopic will be directed and produced by Amol Gupte and Bhushan Kumar respectively.
