Aamir Khan starrer much-awaited flick of the year ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ which was released on the eve of Diwali hasn’t been able to impress the audience as well as the critics much which is why the movie is not able to churn out big for its producers. The collection of the movie continues to fall even on the seventh day.
On day number six, it is reported that many shows of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ were even cancelled across India due to the bad word-of-mouth.
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted the latest condition of the film at the single and multiplexes across India. He wrote, ‘’#ThugsofHindostan TUESDAY- Shows are getting cancelled Left, Right & Center across India because of no audience. Feeling really sad for single screen Exhibitors who have bought this film in extremely high Money Guarantee clause, many would close down. DARK DIWALI for exhibitors’’.
Another trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh called ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ as ‘the biggest shocker of the year 2018’.
With the failure of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, it is quite evident that films with weak content cannot turn out to be blockbuster even if it is released during the festive season. Films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raazi, Sanju, Stree and Badhaai Ho managed to churn out good at the box-office because of its strong content quality.
