New Delhi:

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer Zero has wooed another fan. Well, the fan is none other than Anushka’s husband and Indian skipper Virat Kohli. While audiences have been eagerly anticipating for the cricketer to comment on the movie, Virat’s review has stirred and invited a bundle of trolls. The much-awaited Shah Rukh release of the year was dropped on Friday, and while the movie has garnered mixed reviews, Twitterati cannot stop gushing about Virat’s take on the film, hinting towards a polarised judgment.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is for those who don’t fit in. But Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is struggling to make its place at the ticket window this week. Blame it on the lackluster script but immaculate acting by all the actors impressed all. Zero, however, is having a lagging run at the box office, despite extensive promotions and widest release in around 4,380 screens.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Virat Kohli appreciated the parts played by every actor. Highlighting the efforts put in by wife Anushka, Virat lauded her challenging role. He wrote, “Saw @Zero21Dec and loved the entertainment it brought. I enjoyed myself. Everyone played their parts well. Loved @AnushkaSharma performance because I felt it was a very challenging role and she was outstanding. ”

However, the Twitterati were bemused by the appreciation and could not hold back the splitting trolls. Here are some of the tweets:

The movie review of Zero published in NewsNation says, “We expected the plot to be extraordinary, given the difficulties of a vertically challenged, but it is no different than a regular SRK, just a few inches shorter. It is nothing but a facade, with no ulterior motive. What strikes even more distant is the writing being all over the place. With characters going left and right, the plot seems to be decorated with loose ends. While Bauua can literally strike down a star with his mere finger, the logic falls flat in its own bubble of imaginations.  The dots in the film do not connect and the same goes with the characters.”

The Aanand L Rai directorial is jointly produced by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions.
