Be it the Indian box office or the screens of abroad Aamir Khan starrer 'Dangal' has been creating a buzz since ever it has released throughout the world.

After shattering a bunch of box office records the Zaira Wasim starrer has now managed place in the top 30 biggest hits of 2016 across the planet and beat Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska’s Alice Through The Looking Glass.

On this regard famous trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted  "#Dangal with $301 M replaces #AliceThroughTheLookingGlass ‘s $299.5 M to become 2016 ‘s No. 30th movie and enters Top 30 2016 WW BO Club!"

Though the movie has earned a monstrous amount of $300 million worldwide, Aamir Khan's monetary benefit from the block buster will be pretty much limited.

The reason for this are the rules that govern Chinese box office. The Chinese government gives only 25 per cent of the box-office revenue to foreign studios. This is a lot less than US which gives 50 percent and 40 percent in most other countries. This means the studio UTV Disney will earn around Rs 275 crore, out of which Aamir will get a percentage. Only four Indian films are allowed to screen in China.
