The amazing con-star jodi of Bunty and Babli are coming back yet again after the first instalment thrilled audience 14 years back. The sequel of the Shaad Ali directorial has been titled Bunty Aur Babli Again, and is getting back Abhishek and Rani.
Talking about the same, a source told Deccan Chronicle, "The sets will be constructed in the first week of June in Mumbai and the shoot will also begin next month."
According to reports the sequel was on cards for quite some time now but, it was only recently that the things were taken forward.
Rani is currently shooting for the sequel of Mardaani where the actress will be reprising the role of Mumbai Police cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.
Abhishek, on the other handwill be next seen in Anurag Basu's upcoming directorial which also stars Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles and will clash on box office with Amitabh Bachchan, Emran Hashmi starrer Chehre.
Bunty Aur Babli, was woven around two small town misfits Rakesh Trivedi (Abhishek) and Vimmi Saluja (Rani) who dream of becoming rich and famous and and to reach their aim turn to a life of fraud and become famous con artists. The movie also featured megastar Amitabh Bachchan in a lead role.
Abhishek and Rani, who have also shared screen space in films like Hum Tum and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, were last seen together in Pradeep Sarkar's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
It will indeed be atreat to see the hit couple back to silver screen again.
