Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which had got embroiled in a controversy after MNS threat to stall its screening, is getting accolades from India and abroad. Adding to KJo’s Diwali bonanza, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that ADHM has become the highest opening weekend film for KJo and Ranbir.
Taran took to Twitter and wrote, “#ADHM packs a SOLID PUNCH in intl markets… Opening weekend: $ 6.15 million <₹ 41.05 cr>… HIGHEST opening weekend for KJo and Ranbir.”
ADHM not only won hearts of its Indian fans, the movie also got good response from outside India. Taran also mentioned, “#ADHM continues its VICTORY MARCH in the international arena... Total till Mon: $ 6.55 million <₹ 43.72 cr>”.
Due to festive weekend in India, the response of the film has come down but experts expect the film to get good response from Tuesday. “Diwali pooja and festivities made a dent in the biz of #ADHM and #Shivaay on Sun... Biz should witness an UPWARD TREND on Mon and Tue,” he further tweeted.

Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma starrer ADHM released on Friday, October 28. In the first weekend in India, ADHM has crossed a total collection of Rs 35.60 crore. On Friday, the film collected Rs. 13.30 crore and by Sunday the total collection went up to Rs. 35.60 cr. On Monday the film garnered 17.75 crore. Till Tuesday ADHM collected ₹ 53.35 crore from its business in India.
