Amid the raging controversy over the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, some prominent actors including Aamir Khan, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin stepped in and shared their views on the issue. While Aamir Khan appeared evasive as he said “you should ask MAMI (Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image) about this,†Imran Khan said he was scared of sharing his views and would keep his opinion to himself. Meanwhile, director Zoya Khan said it was very “unfortunate that a film and a filmmaker gets targeted like that.â€
Here is who said what on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ row:
Imran Khan: I have many many views but my concern is if I voice those views, I am gonna have people come and try to burn my house. I don't want people to threaten me or beat me up, I want to avoid these things. Will keep my opinion to myself.
Abhay Deol: If you want to ban anything to do with Pakistan, then go the distance. Don't just ban the filmmakers, then ban imports, exports etc. When you do half a job, no one is going to take you seriously. I don't take the Govt seriously. Right now it’s not looking like you mean it, it just looks like it gets you a lot of publicity and makes noise. I will support if you think banning anything to do with Pakistan is going to help our jawans.

Kalki Koechlin: Censorship of any kind or not being able to see films from all over world is very sad.
Aamir Khan: You should ask MAMI (Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image) about this.
Zoya Akhtar: It is very unfortunate that a film and a filmmaker gets targeted like that. He didn't do anything wrong, he has not broken the law. Visas are being granted by Govt, it’s legal for people to work here. He shot the film at a time when the situation was pleasant. Today at the time of film's release he is being bullied.
Kunaal Kapoor: Quite a pity, was looking fwd to watching. How a film can have adverse effect in that sense? I hope it gets a good release, and better sense prevails.
Ayan Mukherjee: Ranbir is tensed, everyone is worried about how things are unfolding. He is hoping for the best: Bollywood director.
Richa Chadda: Ek film ki release se agar terrorism khatam ho jaata, toh hum bohot saari films pehle bhi ban kar saktey the.
