In 2002, ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali created a history after he roped in superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit for his directorial 'Devdas'. The movie went on to become a classic hit and bagged several accolades.
And now after 14 years, Bhansali is once again planning to collaborate with SRK once again but this for a biopic titled 'Gustakhiyaan'. The movie will be based on the life of Urdu poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.
According to the recent buzz, SLB has given the script of 'Gustakhiyan' to SRK and the superstar is quite impressed with the story.
While Khan is yet to sign the final deal, the media reports suggest that he has begun reading Sahir’s ghazals and nazms, given that the movie will reportedly have a lot of poetry.
'Gustakhiyan' will also focus on his relationship with poetess-novelist Amrita Pritam and will also feature Sahir's stint in Bollywood.
Ludhianvi had won his first Filmfare Award for his work in 'Taj Mahal' in 1963. It was followed by another Black Lady for Best Lyrics for 'Kabhie Kabhie' 13 years later.
Reportedly, the movie will hit the floors in 2018.
Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy promoting his upcoming movie 'Raees', which is scheduled to release in January next year.
