Remember Akshay Kumar starrer 'Rustom' which became one of the most talked about movies? The movie was based on the very popular KM Nanavati case and went on to create several box office records including being one of the highest grossing movie of the year.
Looks like not just Kumar, the Nanavati case has left superstar Aamir Khan quite intrigued as well. If the gossip mongers are to be believed, Khan is also planning to revive the story on the silver screen.
As per the media reports, after Khiladi Kumar, our Mr Perfectionist is eager to portray K.M Nanavati.
Not many are aware of the fact that Aamir was keen on making a movie on the K.M Nanavati much before Akshay announced 'Rustom'.
However, his project got delayed after Pooja Bhatt and Soni Razdan also spoke about their movie 'Love Affairs', which too was based on the similar subject.
But as per the recent buzz, Aamir might commence working on his project in 2017 once again.
"Aamir was very eager to do a film on the Nanavati case. He collaborated with director Ram Madhvani for the same. After Ram directed the true-life account in Neerja so effectively, Aamir felt he was the best filmmaker to piece together the intricate jigsaw pieces for the real-life Nanavati case,” a source told an entertainment portal.
In fact, Aamir's enthusiasm for the movie is evident from the fact that the superstar has even for Nanavati's widow Sylvia on board.
"Yes, they met Mrs Sylvia Nanavati, and she was enthusiastic about the project. After all, Aamir Khan, known to be a superstar with a conscience was doing it," the source further added.
Well, it would be interesting to see Aamir Khan playing KM Nanavati on the silver screen.
Currently, the superstar is busy promoting his upcoming movie 'Dangal'. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie also features Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tiwari in lead roles. 'Dangal' is slated to release on December 23.
