Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is on a career high, post the stupendous success of his last release Padmaavat. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial emerged as one of the highest grossing films in Bollywood.
The Baand Baaja Bhaarat actor has added another feather to his cap as he will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for his brilliant performance in the royal drama, as per a report in ANI.
For the uninitiated, Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards are not the same as Dadasaheb Phalke Awards which are conferred by the government of India.
Ranveer Singh managed to woo the audience as the shrewd, manipulative and power hungry Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. The Gunday actor received rave reviews from critics and established himself as one of the bankable stars in the industry.
The 32-year-old actor had previously won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Baajirao Mastani.
