The Vishal Bhandwaj 2014 movie, ‘Haider’ starring Shahid Kapoor which pinches on the J&K issues while drawing-in plotline from Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet’ is going viral following the scrapping on Article 370 this August 5. Walking back to the movie that was made 5 years ago that also upped Shahid Kapoor as an exceptional actor, a lot of people are recollecting Vishal Bharadwaj's film and the famous ‘monologue’ delivered fervidly by Shahid.
So, why more than five years down the lane is the scene going viral one must ask. The Indian government’s decision to amend Article 370 that gave the state of Jammu and Kashmir special status in the Indian Constitution was met with divided opinions from both sides of the road. While many termed it ‘historic’, many saw the historic in a differently historic manner, one that is not for the people of Kashmir.
The reactions are hence shared on social media and the one ‘share’ that really struck the cord was the monologue scene where Shahid bloats out the frustration and anger on issues such as The Arms Forces Special Powers Act (ASFPA) and Article 370 which despite allowing the state to have a separate constitution is stuck in a tug of war between India and Pakistan.
I've been thinking about this scene from Haider all morning #Article370 pic.twitter.com/euEO6fELmG

Based on modern-day adaptation ‘Hamlet’, Haider stars Shahid Kapoor as the titular protagonist, and co-starred Tabu, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon in key roles.
