After ‘Jab We Met’, Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali to reunite after 10 years

It has been 10 long years since the release of ‘Jab We Met’ helmed by Imtiaz Ali, which is considered as one of the most loved and cult film in Bollywood. Performance of both Shahid and Kareena Kapoor was praised in the film.

As per latest reports by Mumbai Mirror, Shahid and Imtiaz Ali to collaborate for another romantic flick. The film is said to release in 2018 and the casting for the female lead is to be done.

A source said, "The film kicks off in Mumbai in April and will be followed by an extensive shoot, both in India and abroad. At the moment, Imtiaz is still looking for a leading lady to be cast opposite Shahid for this rom com’’.

Recently, Shahid Kapoor spoke on the 10th anniversary of the release of ‘Jab We Met’ and said, "I feel for Aditya Kaushik, both in the movie and after its release, because he didn't get the recognition he deserved. Instinctively, I knew that 10 years later people would get this guy but at that time, to make Jab We Met work, one character had to anchor the story so the other one could jump around’’.

Currently, Shahid Kapoor is awaiting the release of his period drama ‘Padmavati’ which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The flick also features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The movie is slated to release on December 1.
