After Pink, Taapsee Pannu will be seen in yet another female-oriented film that defies stereotypical notions imposed on women.Â
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the Badla actress will be reuniting with Anubhav Sinha who has directed her in 2018's movies Mulk for another socio-political drama, inspired by true-incidents.Â
According to a source close to the newspaper daily, the director's duo wanted to collaborate again after Mulk and Anubhav had Tapsee in mind even when she was hooting for Mulk. The subject of the movie will defy narratives that typecast women. " It questions the society and will deliver a poignant message on world domination by women. Taapsee's protagonist will be a middle-cast girl. " said the source.Â
The movie has been titled Thappad and will go on the floors in late August and will be shot in Delhi.

Mulk is the story of a Muslim family trying to reclaim its lost honour after a family member gets involved in terrorism. Mulk earned six nominations at 64th Filmfare Awards including Best Actress Critics for Tapsee Best Supporting Actor for Pahwa.
Taapsee is currently shooting for Saand Ki Aankh, a film based on world's oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar. Taapsee said in about 85 per cent of the film, the audience will see them as 60-year-old women. The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar and directed by debutante Tushar Hiranandani. Taapsee is also working on Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan and Game Over in the south.
