Aamir Khan’s recent release, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif, Thugs Of Hindostan released on November 8. However, despite the film being a star-studded thriller, failed to register its charm among the audiences and critics. TOH Day 2 collection saw a dip of around 50 per cent from Day 1. But having said so, Aamir being his Mr Perfectionist self, is now gearing up for his next project, one that has been in the air for some time now, his magnum opus, Mahabharat.

Aamir is moving forward with the making of his next film and developments pertaining to it have started to hit the floors. According to the latest reports published by Pinkvilla, Aamir will be flying off to the USA to ideate and write the adaptation along with his core team. The voyage will be seven-week long and amid other media reports, it has also been confirmed that Aamir will be seen playing the character of Lord Krishna. Also, each of the seven parts will be catered by a different director.

The Mahabharat reports further suggest that the PK actor is looking for an all-new cast for the series. Now, looking at these reports and developments, Mahabharat will be worth a wait for both the audiences and the superstar himself.

On Thugs Of Hindostan release day, the actor took to his Instagram handle to express his heartfelt gratitude towards each of his co-stars and crew members.

Thugs Of Hindostan, produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, has earned Rs 29.25 crore on Day 2, taking the total box office collection to Rs 81.50 crore.
