Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary hit the silver screens on February 16 after facing a delay in its release. The trailer of the film caught the attention of the movie lovers who waited eagerly for it.
Trade pundits were expecting the action thriller to rake in Rs 5-6 crore on the very first day. However, the movie couldn’t perform as per the expectations and collected Rs 3.36 crore on Friday.
The Neeraj Pandey directorial improved on Saturday and minted Rs 4.04 crore at the box office. The flick has managed to maintain the momentum by collecting Rs 4.30 crore on the third day.

Despite the massive hype around the film, Aiyaary couldn’t manage to strike a chord with the audience. The movie has received scathing reviews from the critics as well.
Aiyaary has proved to be Sidharth Malhotra’s lowest opening movie in the opening week. His earlier movies ‘A Gentleman’ ( Rs 13.13 cr) and Ittefaq (Rs 16.05 cr) performed better than Aiyaary in the first week.
When compared to the box office results in India, Aiyaary has fared well in the international markets. The movie which is set against army backdrop has minted Rs 4.57 crore in the first two days in overseas.
#Aiyaary - OVERSEAS...
Fri $ 419,000
Sat $ 292,000
Total: $ 711,000 <₹ 4.57 cr>…

The storyline of Aiyaary revolves around an army officer who turns rogue to reveal a scam in the country. It is yet to be seen if the movie will be able to perform better in the second week.
