It took two long years for Superstar Ajith Kumar to make a return on the silver screen, and what could be a better opportunity than the comeback of the hit duo Ajith-Siva with ‘Vivegam’.
Siva’s directorial venture has grossed Rs 150 crore on its 11th day worldwide. The movie crossed Rs 100 crore mark on its fourth day, churning Rs 69 crore in domestic market and Rs 36 crore overseas.
‘Vivegam’ is already dominating the Chennai box-office and enjoying good occupancy in theatres. The movie also became the first Tamil flick to join Rs. 100 crore club post the implementation of GST.
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel took his Twitter handle to share worldwide collection of ‘Vivegam’ till now.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie crossed many box-office records of S S Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2’ in Chennai.
In the movie, Ajith is playing a role of an Interpol Officer which is loosely based on the life of Ajay Kumar. The flick also features Kajal Aggarwal, Akshara Hassan and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles.
Released on August 24, the movie is the third collaboration of Ajith Kumar and Sivakumar Jayakumar after Veeram and Vedhelam which were also superhit at the box-office.
