New Delhi:

From Sara Ali Khan to Janhvi Kapoor to Ananya Panday, many star kids are following the footsteps of their parents and making big in Bollywood. For quite some time, there have been rumours of Akshay Kumar's son Aarav joining Bollywood. However, the actor put all speculations to rest in a recent interview to Hindustan Times.

When asked whether his son Aarav will follow in his father’s footsteps, Akshay said, ''He is just a 16-year-old kid who is enjoying his life. There is no need to put pressure on him by discussing his career.''

He added that kids feel the pressure only if their parents keep nagging them, and Akshay does not want to be one of those parents. ''I am very clear that whether my kids want to become a painter, doctor or open a restaurant, I am fine. My dad never put any pressure on me. He was like, 'if you’re interested in sports and karate; and want to be like Bruce Lee, go for it. But become at least half a Bruce Lee (laughs).' Aaj wahi cheez kaam aayi na mere,'' he added.

About his kids Nitara and Aarav having a comfortable life, Akshay said that every parent tries to ensure that his/her kids’ lives become easy, but they cannot shadow their kids all the time. The kids have to pave their own way.

On the work front, Akshay is currently basking in the success of his latest release, Kesari. The film has crossed Rs 100 crore mark. It also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role.
