The wait is finally over. After Simmba, Rohit Shetty's upcoming movie of the 'Singham' universe starring Akshay Kumar is out. TheÂ 51 year old actor shared the first look of his film Sooryavanshi on Twitter. He will essay the role of a cop, ATS chief Veer Sooryavanshi.
Audience caught the first glimpse of the movie in Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba that raked over Rs 350 crore at the global box office and is one of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood film in India.Â â€œA bullet for a bullet! Sooryavanshi will go on floors in May 2019. The rest of the star cast of the cop-drama is yet to be announced.Â The movie will hit the screens on Eid 2020, a festival usually taken by Salman Khan for the release of his films.
Director Rohit Shetty had clarified that Sooryavanshi is neither a remake nor is it adapted from Tamil film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.
