Superstar Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's social drama 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' continues its massive run at the box office as it crosses Rs 80 crores in just five days of release.
While the movie is doing wonders at the box office, it is all set to ent the coveted Rs 100 crore club this week given the stupendous business it is doing. 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', which got a good opening on its day of release, manage to earn Rs 20 crore on its fifth day itself.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collection of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'.
He wrote, "#ToiletEkPremKatha Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 17.10 cr, Sun 21.25 cr, Mon 12 cr, Tue 20 cr. Total: ₹ 83.45 cr. India biz. FABULOUS… #TEPKâ€.
It is being reported that the movie is getting a strong word of mouth and has now become the sixth highest openers of 2017.
A Shree Narayan Singh directorial, 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is said to be inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign and discusses the issue of open defaction in India.
The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey and Sana Khan in key roles.
