2018 is turning out to be a blockbuster year for Bollywood as several content-based films will hit the silver screens this year. One of them is Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi.

The film from the stable of Dharma Productions has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. The first song of the spy thriller has been released on Wednesday and we must say, it is soul-stirring.

Arijit Singh’s melodious song evokes patriotism and celebrates the true spirit of what we call as love for the nation. Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s beautiful composition has done justice to the lyrics penned by veteran lyricist Gulzaar sahab.

Alia Bhatt’s dialogue at the end of the 106-second video is like cherry on the cake.  The Highway actress needs to be applauded for her choice of roles.

Talking about Raazi, the film traces the journey of Sehmaat (played by Alia), who is married to a Pakistani military officer during the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

The Meghna Gulzar directorial is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. Alia plays the role of an Indian spy who has to go to Pakistan to extract secrets from her homeland.

The trailer of the film has received a thumbs up from the audience, who seem to be in awe of Alia’s fine portrayal of Sehmat. The highly-anticipated film which has been shot in picturesque locations of Kashmir valley will hit the cinema theatres on May 11.
