Bollywood is in a remake spree. From cult movies to popular songs, directors are trying to reintroduce their audience to old classics with a fresh perspective that suits the millennials.
Following the suit now Mahesh Bhatt has announced the remake of his 90's movie Sadak with daughter Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur and now there are reports that a remake of the movie's iconic song Tumhe Apna Banane Ki Kasam starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt will also find a place in the movie
According to a report in a daily, it's still not clear who will star in the remake of the song. The movie also features Pooja and Sanjay in pivotal roles.
Sadak (1991) was a romantic-thriller and was the second-highest grossing film in that year. It won several accolades for the performances of the actors, as well as its musical score. It told the love story of a taxi driver and a woman forced into prostitution, and how he rescues her from them.
Mahesh Bhatt will be working with Alia Bhatt for the first time in Sadak 2 and the actress is already very nervous to be under her father's tutelage.
‘’Right now, I am scared to be directed by my father. He is looking at me every day and saying I am going to get through you. He has an X-ray vision kind of thing.†she had earlier told a newspaper daily.
