Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Nanavati hospital since the past three days. As per reports in Spotboye, the actor is unwell and was rushed to hospital on Tuesday at 2 am. The actor has been undergoing treatment for liver problems and it has been three days since he is admitted at the hospital.
Reports also suggest that the Bachchan family has been visiting the actor frequently and he has been kept in a special room equivalent to ICU. However, no Bollywood celebs have come to visit him as most of them are not aware of the news.
Recently, a video of Mr Bachchan being welcomed at his residence after his near fatal-accident on the sets of Manmohan Desai's film Coolie, went viral on the internet.
The black and white video shows Amitabh Bachchan stepping out of an ambassador and touching his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan's feet and giving him a tight hug. His mother Teji Bachchan showers him with kisses by holding his face in his hands. His mother then performs aarti as his wife Jaya Bachchan stands next to him.
Amitabh Bachchan released a brief video statement, in which he can be heard thanking his fans: "Today, the 24th of September, is exactly two months from the date when I was injured. And I sit here before you as a result of the efforts of the doctors from St. Philomena's Hospital. And more especially the doctors and nurses from the Breach Candy Hospital in Bombay. But I'm grateful most of all, to all you people, who have prayed for me, for my life. Be it in a temple, be it in a mosque, be it in a church. You all came forward." "I don't know so many of you. Yet you prayed for me, I am grateful for that. The least that I can do now is to try and live up to your expectations. I'll try, I'll try very hard," Big B concluded.
On the work front, Amitabh is currently busy with multiple projects, including the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The actor has already wrapped shooting for Ayan’s upcoming film, Brahmastra. It stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles, besides Mouni Roy. The film will hit screens next year.
