Filmmaker and screenwriter Rumi Jeffery, who made his directorial debut with god 'God Tussi Great Ho' is making a comeback to the industry with a courtroom drama titled 'Khel'.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Rumi has roped in Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi to play pivotal roles. This will be the first time Amitabh and Emran will share screen space.
A source close to the filmmaker was quoted as saying, "Shooting will start by May 13. The film is an intense drama with important courtroom sequences. It is titled Khel because of the various twists and turns in the plot."
Amitabh will reportedly essay the role of a judge in the film. Amitabh has also starred in Pink which was also of the same genre. The last commercially successful courtroom drama was Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2.
Meanwhile, Amitabh's last release Badla, that was directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and starred Taapsee Pannu as the female lead, went on to garner positive response among film critics.
On the other hand, Emraan was last seen in Soumik Sen's Why Cheat India that released this year.
Rumi is credited with penning the storyline for popular movies like Coolie No 1, Hero No 1 and Chalte Chalte. he has also helmed Bollywood films such as Gali Gali Chor Hai and Life Partner.
